abkeenan Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Not to be argumentative but that looks like a v63 Nat Brown Craw to me, just heavy handed on the brown. I don't see any red nor orange on the sides which they typically have and v209 is my favorite color wart. As you all well know variation from one paint job to the next can be very different depending if the painters shift ended in the middle of production run. That or the painters interpretation at Storm changed from year to year, season to season or heck even hour to hour. I do not know. I don't think I have two Pre Rap warts that are identical. A better pic in better lighting could clear it up.
abkeenan Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Also, the V209 with the green backs are highly sought after. When the elites where on Bull Shoals a few years back they were the hot item and pushed prices way up on Ebay. Had heard (simply through the internet word of mouth so take that for what it's worth) that all the elites where scouring Ebay and snapping as many up as they could. V209's go for about $30ish used and about $45+ish NIB. The ones with the green backs typically go for around double or more. Especially come Wart season. mixermarkb 1

mixermarkb Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I still say green back v209, I have two in the wart box that look just like it, and 3 or 4 black back v209. I'll try and dig them out tomorrow and post pics of the difference dtrs5kprs and Hughesy 2

Also, looks like that wart has some love on it which can fade the coloring on the back.
dtrs5kprs Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Think squeezing your eyes shut during Tiger basketball is causing problems. It's a 209. The green backs are really hard to get a pic of, and plenty of folks have been duped on eBay by bad lighting, intentional or otherwise. Some of them are a very similar green to the backs on MO Craw. Love 209. One of the first wart colors I learned to paint. I actually like to vary it with a brownish back and some red flake. Also a big fan of V029, flo red squiggle. Hughesy and Champ188 2
