Members Ferguson Bills Posted February 8, 2016 Members Posted February 8, 2016 K well we are staying at copper Johns so we will be up by the dam for the most part. I understand what you are saying about the glass though, I will get with him and see what he has to say. Im game with rentals the others are more about bring their own. As always thanks again ham it is appreciated.
Ham Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I really do not know the upper river all that well. I have fished from the dam all the way down to just above Calico Rock, but I don't "know" the upper river the way I do the mid to lower river AND super high water moves stuff around. I run a jet and I can often go really skinny and so my experience at times doesn't help me know where props can go. I've seen Terrierman go places with ease that I thought were gonna be tough and I've had ppl follow me with a prop that soon ate rock and decided No Mas. I really think they will on the Norfork and I hope they will on The White River too. I don't like the river at >20,000 CFS, but I like it better than >30,000 CFS. Y'all do what y'all want. I see guys running Bass boats on the White and upper Taneycomo. I think the risk is too great. I don't think they're going to close them anytime soon. Word is that they are opening more gates today or tomorrow. I believe it's going to be the equivalent of another gate. Which will bring the total flows up to the equivalent of 11 gates. The river is and still will be fishable . You have to hit the slack water and flooded grass and water on the inside bends. I have seen quite a few wade fisherman at White Hole, Wildcat Shoals etc nymphing with some decent success. http://ozarksweetwater.com
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The parking lot at White Hole has fished well. That's what I've heard from some buddy's down there. Ham 1

I can't say tearing them up but some nice fish have been caught. The streamer bite has been hit and miss. There has been a lot of boats on the water doing the same thing and hitting the same spots so, I think that has affected the fishing some. Persistance has been the key. Get out early and stay late. Most of the eats have come within 1 or 2 ft of the bank. Weighted streamers thrown into little slack pockets along the banks have been producing for me lately. http://ozarksweetwater.com
Ozark Sweetwater Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Gates opened up a little more today. Lancer09 1 http://ozarksweetwater.com
