My dad and I went to Montauk Saturday for the last weekend of C&R. We both had a pretty good day with soft hackles and pine squirrel leeches. I brought down the boo rod. Anyways I got this little guy in some riffles not far below where the Montauk spring comes into the river. Do you think it's stream bred or a daring baby escapee? Haha. I would think with the amount of trout in the park there could be some successful spawning..  It has the par marks and intact fins..

@Eric82 I would imagine and hope it could be a stream bred fish. I caught one similar and in that general area around a month ago down there. Either way, beautiful fish... I love those smaller, more wild looking fish when I catch them... thanks for the photos!

Yeah from what I heard none of the rearing pools were affected by the flood at Montauk. I could be mistaken of course.
