fishinwrench Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Are you tapped into the trolling motor battery(s) for 12v to the sonar unit? If so move those leads over to the cranking battery.
DADAKOTA Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 I don't have a starting battery. I just start off one of the trolling batteries as I do not want the extra weight. I run the power to the 597 CI HD DI down the opposite side of the boat from the TM wires. 587 goes to one battery and TM to the other. Everything worked fine last year after HB sent me a different cable. Not sure what changed. I'll start by making sure the power wires to both aren't in close proximity where they begin their runs under the front deck. Then I'll make sure my software is up to date on the 597. Then more internet research and a call to HB.
Old plug Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 This question about what the water temperature is I think is so fluid it can not be answered. I bet there are select areas that are hitting into the mid 50 's no doubt about it. Depends how much sun and how it moves over the area, depth, water movement, even time of day. As soon as the sun moves the water is going to cool also. This time of the year I think most of us follow the sun.
