Members carpelpummel Posted February 29, 2016 Members Posted February 29, 2016 Not much to contribute as far as patterns, areas or baits but just a little bit of luck to share, maybe it will rub off on someone. Took the kids to the dock to throw some rocks today which lasted all of 10 minutes with the cool wind...just enough time to sneak in a few casts and I was generously rewarded with this pretty gal, 6lbs on the nose. Wobble head with a speed craw on wind blown main lake bank about 5 feet of water Baxter area. RogueAgent, Quillback, Champ188 and 8 others 11
Quillback Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Nice one! I like throwing the wobble head, looks like it is time to start throwing it around.
magicwormman Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Great fish and picture. You just got rewarded for taking the kids to the dock. I guess stone throwing doesn't seem to spook the fish.
Members HardHead Posted February 29, 2016 Members Posted February 29, 2016 Awesome fish. Just curious, what brand wobble were you throwing? The wobble head is no doubt my favorite way to fish. I still throw larews 90% of the time - the hook seems to swing more freely than with any other brand. Difficult to move away from the innovators and best quality, but they are also the most expensive. I throw some painted choppers, but their hooks don't swing nearly as freely as the larews. Saw tight lines uv started making a wobble, picked up a few packages to try out a little deeper this year. cant say enough about how much I love this jig. Drag it, crank it, or swim it. Trailer it with small beavers, large creatures, senkos, paddle tail swim baits(killer out in 20 + fow in July and August), or grubs. I've had a lot of success with it over the past few years. If you don't have a few in your box, you are missing out. magicwormman 1
Ketchup Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Nice fish. Another bite in the shallows. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.

HardHead, just been using some heads my buddy poured...no frills to them at all and seem to work just fine for my likings, especially when I'm not paying $2.50 a piece and as much as we break em off in some of the bigger rocks magicwormman 1
