Can literally park and fish from your tailgate by the looks of it. Don't know if the fishing is worth a darn. To the south of the Dardenne Greenway Trail it forms a pretty good sized pool, but don't confuse it for the neighboring private pond. I ride back there and it looks like a typical back water slough. I've seen something spawning in the subdivision pond last spring but couldn't tell what it was. The slough looks to be real shallow but I have seen people fishing it. It also has limited access since the bank is heavily overgrown. I have thought about dragging my pond prowler in there though. patfish 1

snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I'm going to ride bike back there again with a line and weight and see how deep it is. If it's worth it we'll give it a shot Pat.
stlfisher Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Rabbit Run...I used to play soccer there about 25 years ago... if this is the same place I am thinking off. It used to flood a lot now that I think about it.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Yep. It floods. I am wondering how deep it is.
stlfisher Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I remember the water looking really stagnant behind the soccer fields, but that was a long time ago. A quick glance at the park and lt is much different today. You gotta give it a shot!
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I need to go over there and check it out. Greasy B and bkbying89 2

Members UseUrHeadFred Posted March 18, 2016 Members Posted March 18, 2016 I don't wade or use a fly rod, but another good spot to try would be Schote Creek at the headwaters of Lake 35. Go to Lake 35, take the first right, at the parking lot follow (back into!) the little road to the right. That was a county road a long, long time ago. The old bridge is still there, along with a newer foot bridge, and a retaining wall follows the creek to the right. Looks like it gets dicey after the retaining wall, but my depth finder couldn't find water deeper than 5 feet, so it seems like it would be a good candidate for wading. Foot Bridge I'm happy to give what little I have out, I figure there's plenty for all of us. Eric82 1
