Stump bumper Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks to Dan putting me on some stripers today, finally got a good one, 26lbs. Thanks Dan for letting me know where they were at and being around to take a pic and weigh that for me. Lance34, 96 CHAMP, Dan the fisherman and 2 others 5
Members vuekid Posted March 13, 2016 Members Posted March 13, 2016 That water looks clear what location?
Stump bumper Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Water started getting green around Montne running from Hickory, but I don't want to give location because I was following Dan, it was his spot.
Mitch f Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Very nice! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
J-Doc Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 That looks bigger than 26. Nice fish! I wouldn't tell anyone where. People like to spot hop these days and next thing you know, you'll have five guide boats and one inflatable their. There is so much pressure on this lake I don't even tell close friends much anymore. Lol! Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Dan the fisherman Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 No problem stump. Glad it worked out. Still feel like we should have got more bites though... Next time Though, I think I have just the tactic for them.

Blll Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Good for you Stump. I haven't cracked 25# yet....but soon! Good to see green water.
Members deltakid Posted March 13, 2016 Members Posted March 13, 2016 Hi folks I'm a newbi to the Arkansas lakes I've lived in California my whole life and ive retired here but I have to say the idea of not sharing where fish are biting seems silly to me and really it isn't what real sportsman do . If I'm on fish I have no problem letting other anglers know. The whole idea of 'IM NOT TELLING ANYONE" just makes it hard for all of us who don't really know how to fish your lakes and rivers. If you guys really think your saving your best hole your wrong all you are doing is making guys like me less willing to share when we get on the fish....heck I am always willing to share when I'm on fish because that's what builds friendships this is a great sport don't try to keep it to yourself.
Dan the fisherman Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I'm new to striper fishing and the forum. But quickly learned not to share exact locations. Iposted how, where and when and a lot of times would have 4-7 boats in my spot the next day. I don't know how Cali fishes but I feel that beaver fishes very small. And if I'm spending countless hrs and money on fuel I'd like to have the spot for a while. I'm ok with saying fishing is good in the river or stripers being caught south of 12 bridge. But don't see why I'd need to say the spot. That's what's fun about fishing for big striper, figuring them out. I'm not a guide or the best fisherman and I have to work hard and spent a lot of money for the fish I get, and it's just hard to give a extract spot up just to see a bunch of boats on it the next day.
