bassfisher Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I'm sure everyone can read between the lines on that statement
slab slinger Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I understand the law as four fish per angler per day with no more than eight in possession at any time per angler. My house of 4 could have our 8 walleye possession limit per person given each bag is labled with consv. Info number of fish etc. That would mean we could legally have 32 walleye in the freezer but couldn't keep anymore walleye till we consumed some of our possession limits. I assure you this is never the case at my house, I have 3 fish eating machines including myself. Plus I give my elderly neighbor and both grandparents fish as requested. Fresh is best in my book. We usually eat them before they ever make it to the freezer. bassfisher, dan hufferd, BilletHead and 1 other 4
MOPanfisher Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 That is what the "fish bowl" was invented for. Sometimes take 2 or 3 night to get the bowl full enough for a cooking. Always someone you know who will appreciate a couple wally fillets.
dan hufferd Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 I hope everyone can understand my intent by asking this question. I want to understand the law better, so that I would not be in violation of it. Judging from all the different answers, asking this question may have helped more people than just myself. Thank you all very much ! BilletHead and Hookeyes 2
Members Hookeyes Posted March 31, 2016 Members Posted March 31, 2016 I can't catch one walleye let alone eight lol! Where are the regulations for Stockton lake? They weren't posted at the ramp either. Does anyone have a link? Thanks, JP
MOPanfisher Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 http://mdc7.mdc.mo.gov/applications/MoRegs/moarearegexceptions.aspx?txtAreaID=7701. Try this one. Since there are no special regs at stockton they are not always posted. Hookeyes 1
Members Hookeyes Posted March 31, 2016 Members Posted March 31, 2016 15 in minimum 4 a day! Thanks Mopanfisher
dprice Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I think you can keep 4 each day and only have a total of 8 fish in the freezer Ya straighten this Out If I fished 3-30 till midnight and had 4 But stayed at lake and iced my creel And then caught 4 on morning of 3-31 I feel I'd be legal ??? dan hufferd 1 Dprice priceheatingair.com
dan hufferd Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 You are in the next day so I say legal. Now that you have eight you are done until after the walleye dinner.
