This is a very old Post , but I was wondering what you ended up doing. I want to do this as well next to the front deck on my Alum CC 1860.

I went out and took some...I Used one section of ladder...cut to width

bed frame feet welded to that set the height

welded tabs to front...and drilled 2 holes thru the original front storage area...and lag bolted thru it

the top is .100 aluminum I bought from a local fabricator scrap pile.

my main deal was I wanted it to be removable because boats primarily used for duck hunting so trolling motor and the deck extension are easily removed

The extra 22 inches The extension gives makes a world of difference when fishing
