Fish24/7 Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 , I still have some old fish formula bottles that don't get used anymore because they look gross now, but I didn't get serious about scents until many years later. Now it's a must have. Sometimes I rub crappie power sparkle nibbles on my soft plastic bass baits They like it..smear some on a fluke and watch the glitter fall off when twitching it, be ready to set the hook! somebody said they saw an x rap in my box that had a tiny scent pad glued to it but I can't deny or confirm that . used to use smelly jelly for a while,, its good stuff too KVD sticks are good at temps below 85 degrees, had a few melt in the sun but still usable. The shad and craw sticks used together ,try that if you haven't already.when it comes to spray scents I'm just not a fan of any pumps, aerosols or misting sprays. may have missed this but has anyone used pro-cure, is this the super gels that were mentioned? I still need to try them

I believe Mann's made it at the time and it appears another company has revived it. i still have these, when we used them I put alka seltzer in the pouch

I think the fish are curious enough to follow a scent trail and come over to investigate, then maybe see your lure and take it. Then the scent might might help them hold on long enough to get hooked. If you add fluorocarbon line, a better technique, right size bait, color, etc., you're putting all the odds in your favor and it might translate to more bites during the day. ps.....that's my story, and I'm sticking to it? +1
