My motorola surfboard router SBG6580 threw up a firewall and I can't access any Ozark Angler forums. I don't have problems accessing other websites. though. When it comes to router settings I am clueless. I did contact Phil Lilley and he said to ask some of you guys. For the life of me I an't figure out what caused this. I am open to any ideas some of you may have. I am using my phone now.

Anyone else have this problem?  Or have had in the past?

You can try a Pin reset.  There is usually a small button on the back of the router or modem that you will need to take a ballpoint pin to to push it in and it will do a full factory reset on the device.  Be advised though that this will usually clear out all of your account information and you will need to put you account name and password back in before your internet will be working again.

Alternatively depending on how technical you are, you can usually log into the internal web page of the router and check the configuration in there.  Usually pretty rare that just one page gets blocked like that.

Good luck! and Google can is your friend for resetting and getting into the internal pages. :)

called Motorola for help on this and they told me to get hold of the OA website itself because there was nothing showing on my modem. Went to Best Buy and asked The Geek Squad and they didn't know. One interesting point though is this happened right after I sent a private message to somebody on Ozark Anglers. The message was in no way derogatory or anything but it seems a strange coincidence. I did a pin reset on the modem and it had no effect.

Can you ping www.ozarkanglers.com?  What browser are you using? IE or Chrome or something else?

Go to Internet Options in Control Panel and on the Security tab, click on Restricted Websites in the Internet Security Zone, and then on the button labeled “Sites” . Check if the URL of the website you wish to access is listed there. If yes, select the URL and click on Remove. You’ll be prompted for confirmation. That done, the website should open without any problems on any of your browsers.

Wifi or Wired to the modem?

You can always try to access the modem through your browser - either type 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 into your browser as if it were a web address.

It will probably ask you to log in.

If you haven't set up a username and password it will probably just be "admin" for the user name and "admin" again for the password. Many times the password is just left blank. From there you could mess with your firewall settings. You could also check to see if there is a firmware update for your modem and update that.

I'm using a wireless modem. I have an iPad and an HP desktop computer can't get to the website with either of those. I've tried everything you guys are talking about

Most home routers only have the  ability to block by port and not by website. This site is access via port 80, which is what the majority of web traffic uses unless it is encrypted and then it uses port 443. If port 80 or 443 outbound were blocked, you wouldn't be able to get anywhere on the internet.

I Googled your router model + firewall and found this link. Read through it, perform the steps and see if it solves your issue.
