Quillback Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 A little slower today, caught 18, with 2 keeper sized. Mostly c-rigged lizard fish, and a few on the wobble head. Got off the water at noon. Saw 4 deer in a group swimming across the main channel, why they decide to make that swim is a head scratcher to me. Maybe something chased them into the lake, but I did not see anything. Water temps 61-62. Lots of boats out again today. merc1997 Bo and Donna G 2
SplitG2 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Turkey and mushroom hunters could have the deer fuzzed up a little.
abkeenan Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Deer were probably looking for zebra mussels. Champ188, MGP, Quillback and 1 other 4
Members BassBlind Posted April 21, 2016 Members Posted April 21, 2016 Nice day Quill! - Going to give the C-rig lizard my best shot this weekend. I'll also be throwing wobblehead w brown craw, jig and craw (blue and brown), NED, black whopper plopper, and might tie on a texas rig worm.... any thoughts, pointers, adjustments I should make. Fishing Big Creek for the most part and the main channel from Big Creek to Campbell Pt. Quillback 1
m&m Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Quill, well those 18 kept it interesting. Thanks for the report. I think I am staying below point 5 this weekend. Mike
Nitro 750 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Thanks Quill for the report. The deer was probably out for their daily swim.
