Looking for a nice float near Columbia MO

Heading up to see my son at MIZZOU and would like to take a float with him, wife, and 12 year old daughter this weekend would like a to rent and a shuttle service. Nothing to crazy as it will be my daughter first float trip. Thanks in advance.

Hate to say it but Columbia is a good 2+ hours away from any good floating that would have outfitters.  Niangua and Gasconade are probably the closest.

I have never floated with any, but there are canoe rentals on the Gasconade about an hour south of Columbia. Most folks here travel south for good floating waters.

It might be iffy with all the rain. It is a very nice time of year for a float, the weekend frat party's haven't started yet.
