It was a decent day for fishing for quite a few guys. Me personally, lost several good bass throughout the day that could've put me in the top 5, lost a big one (5lbs to 6lbs) on a jig that would've won the big bass pot, just have to make them stick next time.

3 of the Ozarks Extreme Outdoors  pro-staff guys (Justin, Tyy and Jim) dominated the top 5 with Jeff Mallott (Razoryak Tournament Trail) taking home the win and $3,000.

Keep an eye out next year, they are splitting the KBS into 3 divisions (including a Central), and may come back to Table Rock Lake or another local lake.

Richy, congratulations to all the KBS anglers.  I saw one near the Moonshine ramp when I was taking out. Interesting to watch him fish from his Kayak. I read the scoring rules and it is pretty interesting how thorough they are.  The way KBS does the CPR process leaves little to criticize.

They have had to iron out a few things after the last event on Dale Hollow when they caught a cheater, who had 3 different hog troughs, an original, one cut 2 inches short and another cut 4 inches short, making short fish look longer. They now inspect and tag (the red tag on the bump) the Hog Trough you're using in the tournament.

Yeah, you have to watch the photos carefully.  When they have "doctored" troughs, they will cover the cut/break with their hand and wrist, unlike the photo above, where his fingers are splayed.

I really like the inspection and tagging of the trough.  That was a great idea and kudos to those who do that.
