Members DownStream Posted June 9, 2016 Members Posted June 9, 2016 After unsuccessfully trying to find public access to Indian Creek, I found myself at Little Indian Creek CA. Waded downstream quite aways. Water was moving swiftly, and running a little high. Caught nothing but sunfish, and not very many at that. Really had me wishing I could have found some account Big Indian Creek. Just looked like more promising water, even though it was also running high. By the time I got back to the CA upstream, there must have been 60 people there. I guess that explains the trash that kept floating down stream. Not much of a report, but at least I tried. If anyone knows of public access to Big Indian Creek, feel free to PM me.

I've lived here for most my life and there are some very grouchy landowners along that stretch At Many of the slabs you've got about a one hour window before the 5.0 shows up to right a trespass ticket. I quit fishing it 15 years ago

I know the Chief of Police for St.Clair and from what he has told me I would think twice about trespassing up in Indian creek. There are some irrational landowners up there that are just dangerous really. I was addressed by two guys who came speeding up in Razor pumping their shotguns....it was not pretty, if I wouldn't have been as apologetic and nice as I was it would have ended bad no doubt. I stay out of there now even though the creek looks so good....I'm too old to be getting my butt kicked over creek fishing...maybe in my younger days but, I can go elsewhere....those people were pretty brutal up in there.
Members DownStream Posted June 9, 2016 Author Members Posted June 9, 2016 Thanks for the info fellas. When I arrived back at little Indian Creek CA, there was a car with both the windshield and back window were smashed out. Not worth all that. I'll try my luck around the low water bridges along the Huzzah and Courtois next time.

People wonder why I carry a Sig when I fish out in the sticks.
Gavin Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Can get private access to that creek, but It's really not worth the hassle with my buddies jackwagon neighbors.
bkbying89 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I am old enough to remember wading a creek without having to worry about being shot-up beat-up vandalized or fined for fishing. It is a sad world we live in now. Greasy B 1
