Mike jones Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Saw a couple big schools of whites come up by 12 bridge around 7:30 last night. Also some random schoolers behind the buoys in prairie creek. Talked to a buddy that was up the war eagle throwing a deep diving crankbait and caught lots of 10-15 pound stripers. Our Tueaday night jackpot tournament results were: 1st...13.60 2nd...12.50 3rd...11.06 big bass was 5.06 RyanG and Stump bumper 2
Dan the fisherman Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Thanks for the report. Your the second person I've hear say, stripers being caught up river. That just blows me away. I thought all stripers would be in the dam area. Guess I still have lots to learn lol.
Stump bumper Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I have heard the smaller ones will hang out around point 12 and point 10 all year. It is the 20lb plus that head back to the dam area I think. I have never heard of anyone catching a 30lber around point 12 in the heat of the summer, but if I did I would lie about it. Mike jones 1

Be up here a couple days because she needs some stuff done around the farm and no one else in the family here will help! Lol!! I'm fishing a derby tomorrow and Friday night at lake of the ozarks and then coming back to NWA for Castmasters night tournament Saturday night. RyanG 1
Blll Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Had an odd thing this morning. I was very throwing top waters near the bridge. Watched a guide boat run into a school of stripers with multiple fish on for about 20 minutes. they must have filled their limit because they did not make a second pass but jetted off. I continued to fish the area. After about 25 minutes, I saw a large striper on the surface swimming on its side. I watched for several minutes and he finally went belly-up. I went over to see what was up. We was barely alive on top in about 80 fow. He had a hook swallowed out of sight and was pinned to the bottom. It looked like he took the line around a snag and had broken off and was doomed. I tried to revive him for some time without luck so I harvested him rather than going to the turtles. Honest 26#'s on the boga. Bigger than I've been blessed to catch so far. Stump bumper, Dan the fisherman, 96 CHAMP and 5 others 8

chi0082 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 So yea, how do you get rid of a "quote" box if you didn't mean to click on it? It seems as soon as you click on the Quote button you can't remove it from your reply. It's frick'n frustrating how they designed this feature.
