More information would make advice a little easier -> what lakes or rivers? From a boat or bank?

Regardless, allow me to send you to two articles and a post I wrote for people who ask the question you asked.

May seem unorthodox, but caught some really nice walleye out of Taneycomo last week down by the dam.  Waded as far out as we could get safely at night, and we fished them at night with large stick baits on a slow retrieve trying to keep them up top.  Had great moonlight as well all week which helped too.  Caught a bunch of rainbows too, but had multiple walleye over 20 inches.  After the gates were opened up last Monday I am guessing there are still quite a few in there to be caught.
