Members Shifty Posted July 1, 2016 Members Posted July 1, 2016 Looking to try my hand at drop shotting this weekend around the Cape Fair area. Any recommendations of worm types/colors? Areas to target? Have heard great drop shot reports from areas further down the lake where the water clarity is better but not sure what to expect in the Cape Fair area. Any help/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks to all who contribute on this wonderful forum!
Champ188 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Pretty hard to beat regular ol' green pumpkin in that area up there. Might also try plum. Bluff ends and deep docks are where I'd start looking. Shifty and crazy4fishin 2
Sore Thumbs Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Hey! Finally something I can contribute to. Last year about this time I was catching a bunch of bass in Cape Fair area on drop shot. I stayed within eyesight of the bridge one way or the other. I was using 3/16 weight and plum Zoom Finesse worm. They were stacked on both outside bridge pilings. I would literally throw my drop shot at each piling and let it hit and drop straight down. A bunch of fish came on the initial drop at around 15-20 ft. The two trips I went last year I caught around 40-50 bass. Try on those 3 points just down river from the bridge. Caught some there as well. Good luck! 96 CHAMP, magicwormman, Shifty and 1 other 4
