Probably wrong but would think it will get tough in the colder months using that spoon. You say "a spoon" so maybe there are other spoons that fall slower and flutter more. If not then you can always tip it with a minnow or worm.
DADAKOTA Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Nice. Hope to get a July walleye or four this weekend dan hufferd 1

You are right I don't think the spoon will work in the cold water unless I just dangle it with a minnow. I am not really worried about the means just the catch. I will probably be throwing a jerk bait or a jig when the temps get low. For now I am having a blast with the spoon, can you tell

In fact was schooled by the very person whose name appears on the one you're holding (assuming it is a Binks spoon).
Kramr Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I know what will work in the cold months. Jigging rap, designed for ice fishing which you will be doing but without the ice. http://www.rapala.com/rapala/lures/jigging-series/jigging-rapandreg/Jigging+Rap.html dan hufferd and wtr dogs 2

Thank you for the suggestion Kramr 1
