96 CHAMP Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 ARE YOU READY TO TOP THIS RECORD? – The Missouri state record catch for largemouth bass was broken in 1961. It’s a whopper of a story and the record still stands today. See for yourself in this video. – Kipp@MDC Posted by Missouri Dept. of Conservation on Thursday, July 14, 2016 Quillback and Grubber 2
Ellros Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Not a problem... I can do that... <said with HEAVY sarcasm>
magicwormman Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Very interesting..............thanks for posting!
Champ188 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Moral of the story ... bass fishing is more fun and much safer than trotlining.
96 CHAMP Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 I don't believe I have ever run a trotline, sure it would be fun but I would rather be bass fishing . On another note I just found out yesterday that the transom on the Champ is most probably wet and damaged and or rotten, been noticing seepage from the drain tubes on the back the last couple years, never thought much about it till yesterday, been too much other stuff going on. I am going to take a couple motor mount bolts off and get a small pick in there and see what we have. once I figure out how bad it is then we will figure out where and when to get it done.
196champ Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Sorry to hear that 96, the brown ooze is never a good sign

I had to put a transom in my 89 176 last year right after i bought it and i did it myself using a pour in composite called seacast, but had to clean all the old wood out myself using a chainsaw....lol....good luck 96....i hope you can just dry it out.
