What were you using? Went there last spring and only managed one. Seems like a neat lake though

Bank using half a green pumpkin senko weightless and a small sparkle minnow swim bait. Both caight fish . Earlier the better. Going to try topwater and fly rod next time. Thy were coming all the way out of the water for dragon flies And frogs. Bite died off around noon. Really have to cast as far ahead of you as you can . along the grass line throw weightless worm and twitch pause. Yoyo worked on the swim bait.

Made it back out there again and threw panfish popper that resembles a small fro. On my five weight. Bass and big bull gills tore it up for about four hours. Sawseveral othErs out there catching a few but nothing major. Didnt fish with spinning gear bit about thirty minutes. Switched to fly rod and walked along flats pn far side. Didnt take long for the big gills to find my fly. Then the bass caught on. Total of about twenty bass and countless blue gill. Saw an old man in apond prowler catching some decent bass as well. Looked like he was throwing a creature bait of some kind. Nice day little rainy. . .

I just read this today.  It is funny as that "old man in a pond prowler" was me!  In the summer I flipped a finesse jig or a tube in the brush piles.  Also, a tube or a worm along the old channel drop.  Stay away from the brush that is near the fishing jetty because its full of broken off fishing line.  The biggest bass I caught there was just shy of 5 pounds.  Lots of 12-16 inches.  This lake was just 15 minutes from my house so I fished it a lot, and I enjoyed listening to the quail as I fished!
