oneshot Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Ok been trying to catch Suckers. Using 12# Test Line, Worm threaded on Straight Hook, fishing right on the bottom. All I catch is Trout. Is there anyway I can keep them from biting? Wouldn't be so bad but they die soon as I throw them back so I just keep them until I have my Limit and go home with no Suckers.:( I could go on down the river where they aren't but just soon catch them by the house. I know they are in there. oneshot
fishinwrench Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 The slick water areas midway between the riffles should hold suckers but not many trout. I like hearing that the trout population in the river is good. That's surprising after that last VERY WARM high water event. Good deal !

Where I'm fishing is just below the Ramp at Bennett Access across 64HWY from the Park. oneshot
Mitch f Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Hire a kid to "shuffle" about 30 feet away. The trout, I hear, instinctively go to that spot without fail. ? "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
