Nice catch. I agree with Trythisonemv about being a skipjack. What bait did he use to catch them? Was the water clear or colored?

Clear water on a husky jerk.  Reading on the skipjack this seems like an oddity in the 11p.

Yes we were, which is why Ham growled in an earlier post. Thanks for bringing up that bitter disappointment :angry:! Really surprised that they were caught on a husky jerk. May have to try that next time.

as for being an oddity i found an arkansas study of the eleven point and it lists the skipjack herring as aresident. Not only in the eleven point but current and other shared rivers between mo and Ar. It was from 88 though. Google skipjack herring in Ar and its a pdf
