Flysmallie Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Fished it for a few hours on Sunday. Wanted to be there a lot earlier but it didn't happen. The water was uglier than what it usually is but I did find some interested bass. Plenty of bait right now so it should be a lot of fun when it cools off a bit. Water temp was 82 when I hit the water and and 84.5 when I pulled out. The slot limit seems to work on this lake. Lots of these around. Daryk Campbell Sr, Buzz, Johnsfolly and 2 others 5
Johnsfolly Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Flysmallie Looks like you are enjoying the kayak and the Olympus! This time I won't poke fun at your bass, since that one is pretty chunky. About 14"? I like the reflections shots. Nice post.

Yep, just shy of the 15 inch mark on the paddle.I saw that one before I caught it. It came completely out of the water chasing a dragonfly but missed. Tossed a finesse worm into its spot and he took it immediately. I gotta get a Hawg Trough so I can measure them properly. Not that it matters. I've spent 19 hours in the kayak so far. Not the same as standing in a bass boat but it's still plenty enjoyable. Can't wait for some cooler temps and the big lakes to calm down a bit.
Bass Yakker Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Nice post and beautiful pics! Flysmallie 1
