Moswimb8slinger Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 After a few disappointing days of bass fishing, I ended my afternoon yesterday by going to my favorite striper spot. After 20 minutes of casting something different took the bait, it was darting every which way unlike the small striper I had caught before. When it finally surfaced and rolled I quickly knew what I had. I netted the big walleye head first and then broke my net as I flopped it between my legs in the kayak. A boater nearby had a scale and weighed it for me, "10-12!" he says. I finally broke the 10lbs mark for walleye. Definitely awesome to finally catch one this size, especially from the kayak. It ate the Jakked Baits 3/4oz Flash Jakk with a white 4.8" BPS Speed Shad. Johnsfolly, JohnP, MOPanfisher and 12 others 15
Johnsfolly Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Awesome walleye! Congrats on passing the 10 lb mark!
vonreed Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Congrats. I wonder how much weight it would have added in the spring with eggs. That's definitely a prize. How long was it?
ollie Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Freaking Awesome Fish! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
