I think Champ must have spooked all the fish when he was out yesterday, because it was not a good morning for fishing, at least for me.  I caught 3 - 12' bass.  Missed several bites on a creature and the buzz bait, just could not keep a hook in them.  Could not find any deep fish on the drop shot, and it did not help that the wind kicked up pretty good about the time I decided to go deep.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

i think the bass have scattered again, and it will be a while before they settle back in to there next pattern of depths and feeding.  i would imagine that many are just suspended out in the lake.

might be a good time to go explore the upper reaches of a flowing arm.

Hoping so.  Heading down on Saturday for a week with the wife.  We make it down three to five weeks a year and have been doing this one for almost twenty years now.  I always hate it from a fishing standpoint (although "hate" is a relative term.  I'm at the lake after all!)  but maybe this one has something different in store.

If the forecast holds, this will certainly be a pretty unusual trip for us for this time of the year.  Definitely way more cooler than most and if the predicted rains come.......

Again, hoping it makes a positive difference!
