Members carpelpummel Posted September 21, 2016 Members Posted September 21, 2016 Hello all, sorry to plug up Table Rock forum here with an out of the area question. Hoping someone on here may have some experience out West. Im heading to see a buddy in Vegas in a couple weeks and looking for any recommendations on a guide to chase some stripers on Lake Mead for a while. Thanks to all in advance!
Bill Babler Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 We were there last year and the lake was so low it was scary. The State Park marina was pretty much on the ground. There were hundreds of stripers swimming in the shallows around the marina. They looked like snakes that were starved. If you threw a piece of gum in the water 50 of them would rush to eat it. Hope they got some rain and its better out there this year. We did not fish, but it is for sure on my bucket list. Have a great time. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
snagged in outlet 3 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 It's not any higher. My company is supplying the steel drilled shaft casings for the new wells out there. There are 34 shafts 500' deep and they are 6' diameter casings inside 8' shafts. North American drillers is doing the work. It's a massive job. We ship them out in 50' joints that weigh 39,000 pounds a piece.
denjac Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I know Randy Blauket was just fishing there and says he thinks it's his favorite lake. Might shoot him a message on his FB page. Members carpelpummel Posted September 23, 2016 Author Members Posted September 23, 2016 Thanks everyone, got a guy lined out that sounds like the veteran guide on the lake. No high hopes for anything big just a good time with a buddy on some new water. Champ188 and Codywskeeter1521 2
