We did see some boats we suspected of being Costa rigs based on them having Power Poles.  And there were more than normal buzzing around.

Yeah 96, the temps are just stuck about 70-72.  Looks like we'll get some colder weather in the next week.

Do you think the lake temperature will ever drop Quillback? Been crazy this year

Dadgummit 96, now you've done it. Two weeks from now it'll be 27 degrees for a high and the water temperature will have plummeted 20 degrees, sending every fish in the lake into grand mal seizures :D.

Road, stinking to high heaven.  Who remembers that song?  It wasn't a very good song, but popular.

I did hit a skunk this morning on the way to the ramp.  Came at me from the left side of the road, didn't hit it with the truck, but unfortunately the trailer whacked it.  Didn't realize it was a skunk, thought it was a possum, but got to the lake and the boat was stinking.

It was a sign of how the fishing went, fished with OA member Huntest (Dave), we worked hard for close to 20 bass with only one keeper.  We got a few deep early in the morning on spoons and drop shot, and the rest fishing rocky banks with the Ned.  Probably should have just stayed at the deep spot, there weren't a lot of fish there, but we would get a bite every once in a while.  We left thinking we could do better somewhere else, but never did.

It got windier than heck out there later in the morning also.

Still fun to get out.  Water temp is right around 70.

This is about the sneakiest attempt yet at concealing a humdrum fishing report. :P

It wouldn't surprise me Champ, been waiting on the edge of my seat to go, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Be patient, stay calm, I keep telling myself.

Water temp is not only trigger, bass know the days are getting shorter and that means feed heavy!

Oh ya, I understand that, same as the rut, the shorter days are definitely the trigger, cooler temps and cooler water would help ,it's just that I only have a couple vacation days left and would like to put as many odds in my favor as I can. I wish I lived close so I could go often as I like. Good luck to you!
