stuartsx5 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Been fishing a few times this fall and haven't posted any reports. Three weeks ago put in at Larry Gale, 2 hours later had my limit. Kinda went downhill from there. Took a guy last Wednesday and only came home with 19 between us. It was really tough that morning but the afternoon was productive. Went yesterday, took my brother in law and we came home with 15. Probably would have done better but the starter quit so once I got it started with the rope we headed in. That was about 2. Overall the fish have some good size to them but I have caught a lot more dinks this year than in the last few, maybe a good sign for the future. New starter tomorrow, taking the wife on Friday. May have to snuggle to stay warm. MOsmallies and Johnsfolly 2 Earl Stuart fishin is livin

Mainly main lake windy points and picking up some back in to the back of the coves. Tossing a 1/16 marabou jig in chartreuse or chartreuse, red and white. MOPanfisher 1 Earl Stuart fishin is livin
MOPanfisher Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Kind of what we found. When it was good it was real good. A fishing buddy went yesterday and basically struck out, no wind. the wind seems to be critical, give it a while to push shad up against those areas and its game on, otherwise nothing. Of course if you go Thursday lack of wind won't be an issue!! Friday, big cold front, probably wind, but different direction, who knows. Feast or famine on that kind of fishing.
stuartsx5 Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 Yes, when I crossed the 54 bridge and seen glass smooth water I knew we were in trouble. Got a little breeze in the afternoon that helped. Friday will be a crap shoot for sure. Earl Stuart fishin is livin
fishinwrench Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I went out this evening to play with the green bass, but about 3:30 the surface began to boil all around me....and I couldn't resist it. Limited easily on a Pop-R at the mouth of a shallow cove and they were all bigguns. My boat is totally trashed with poop and puke everywhere. Those dudes are doing some serious eating right now. MOPanfisher Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 When they are a feed they sure do get messy, but sure are fun too. when they get shad trapped like that I would be afraid to fall in, might look a giant shad to them.
96 CHAMP Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 we went down Tuesday afternoon, fished the evening and did real well and Wednesday morning and caught a nice mess of big whites, right up by the bank, no wind, go figure. Threw a bone colored jerkbait a bit and caught one about 3#, then found a new area up by the bridge and caught quite a few on a spinner bait, no wind, put they were smashing the bait. If down today i would be out in that wind with a spinner bait and jerkbait, thinking could be a good day. stuartsx5 1
