Shot my first turkey with a bow and from the tree stand.  Seems like they pick me off every time and this morning they had me pegged at 10 yds with no shot but weren't completely spooked.  they skirted out to about 35 yds when one finally stepped into an opening for me to thread and arrow thru I let it loose and it connected.   took off hobbling with my arrow for 40 yds before finally giving in.

  Well done John,

This gives a new meaning to a thanksgiving turkey! In all the years I have bow hunted I could never get a good draw on a bird. One time Pat shot through the tail feathers of a strutting tom. Happy thanksgiving to you also friend,

And to you and Pat as well Marty.  I've shot at 1 about 3 weeks ago and shaved his back when he ducked under the arrow and plumb missed one last  (about shot his toe off using the wrong sight pin ;) ).  I've had several encounters but they usually picky me off sitting 15 ft up before I'm able to draw.
