Back again to my favorite place.  This is my place holder for a jam packed weekend of fish till we drop.

FmcBrandon is along for this crazy adventure trip.  We hope to get into some this weekend as we fish day and night.

Late start for me this evening, but I'll be feet wet here in a few minutes, and hopefully can land a few this evening.

Game on!

Fishing had been tough today.  Caught a few small stockers and had 2 decent fish hooked, but came unbuttoned...

Fishing rebar hole on the fly rod since the waters off.  Seen some rainbows floating too so won't be allot of pics as I'm concerned DO is getting low.

Hopefully it picks up, I'm going back to jigging for the afternoon.  1/32 sculpin orange head.

Brandon Made it down around 4.  We got him situated and wadered up.  Got the fly rods all set, take 2 steps into the water and the horn blows lol.  That's our luck.

We fished a bit til the current picked up then started jigging.

It's definitely picked up.  We have been picking them up here and there.  I'm throwing sticks in the current, and B's jigging

It was a slow but fun night fishing.   The water was off most of the night and we were able to do some fly fishing at Rebar.

Today it looks like rain,  maybe that will fuel some better fishing.

Our trip has come and gone already... Back home and realised I didn't update this post much.  2 reasons for that.  One fishing for us was slow.  Other reason is we really put the time in fishing day and night hoping it would pick up and wore ourselves out :) .

We are pretty adaptive to fishing Taney, but they had been running water since Friday night so we rented a boat from Phil on Saturday for the morning.  Nice day out on the lake, but the fish didn't cooperate at all for us... We jigged mostly from fall creek back to Phil's with no luck.

Sometimes that's how it goes, but that afternoon we wadered back up and headed to the dam again.  Caught a few, but not the numbers we're used too.

Last night brought the rain.  Bite picked up a bit for me in the rain.  They were running over 4k cfs so I went to a sinking trout patterned rapalla up by the cable.  Had 2 nice bows back to back on my first casts, but then it died off again.

We drifted some orange san juans with a bead head scud dropper for a bit too down around 2nd outlet.  Picked up a couple, but had to work for them.  Our gear finally started to get soaked through around 2:30am and hands were trashed from the rain and cold so we called it.

Still had an awesome time, and can't wait to get back down.

Oh I did snag 3 more stockers off Phil's dock this morning too on a white and grey 8th oz. Maribou.  A good way to end the trip!
