A buddy of mine sent me text yesterday claiming there was a fish kill on TR. Kings River and Long Creek area. Claimed Corp said it was due to a lack of oxygen in water below 20 ft this summer and that the lake needed to turn over. Also advised fishermen to NOT fish in water deeper than 20 ft. Any of you boys hear this? I sure hope its not true and that nothing serious is happening or about to happen on that beautiful lake.

When was this kill?  Because people were (and have been) catching fish a lot deeper than 20 feet.

I was down today and fished a few hours. Not much of a report. Caught 5 all on the wart. Anywhere from 2 to 8 fow. I did see one bass laying on the bottom in about 14 fow dead. This was in Beardsley.  Hard to say what happened.

Becaise you see one laying on its side in winter do not asume otvos a fish kill they do that. I have no idea why. Had a nice siized stripper laying under myvneighbors dock like that. we got a net and tried to pick him up and the minute we rouched him he took off. have seen bass do that a few times as well in the winter. I havenever look up the reason for it but think it muctvhave something to do conserving energy.

She was 2 ft pr better. Since she laying under ramp and  the ramp is 4 ft wide it is easy to judge the sze.
