LittleRedFisherman Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Went back to the river earlier in the week, once again trying new water and practicing patterning/finding some winter bass. This trip proved to be more challenging, I really had to work for the bites! I honed in on one spot that really looked promising and managed to pull a few Smallies out, one being a nice one. As I continued to fish I hung into a big one. This dude was some dead weight and for a minute I thought I had the smallie I had been waiting for, when I got a good look in the crystal clear water finally and saw it was a walleye, I was excited and disappointed at the same time! It turned out to be a 20 inch walleye my personal best. I'd rathered been a 20 inch smallie but still happy with a PB! That was the highlight, other than having a peaceful evening on the river and some decent weather! Hope to continue my winter challenge later next week to another new location! Bret Merry Christmas! Johnsfolly, duckydoty, Ham and 4 others 7 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
