Smalls21 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 while we are on the subject of identifying old lures, anybody recognize these?

Boy I think I am going to have to phone a friend and ask Dave. I know Strike King in the 80s or early 90s tried to get in on the handmade wood/balsa deal. They look similar to Bagleys but even more like the Lee Sisson wooden cranks. Those don't appear to be them. I'm stumped. Smalls21 1
dtrs5kprs Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Sisson would be a good guess. They made lures under several labels, and at different times. Eyes don't seem right for Sisson though. Their baits usually had eyes like Bagley's. World's Cutest Crankbaits, lol. abkeenan 1

I remember the QB too. I used to catch a lot of fish on a Little Scooper when I was a kid. Still do from time to time. It's been a couple of years but I still fish one of the ones i had when I was 10 or so. Pushing 48 now so that's a long time to fish one bait. Still catches fish. dtrs5kprs, Bass Yakker and Ham 3

dtrs5kprs Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 #1/3- Bomber deep flat A. Good cold water crank. Like 39-42 cold. #2- more Cordell Wally Divers #4- Cordell Spot...There are differences in the various Spots. Hot Spots, Th' Spot, etc. May be printed on the bait. #5/6- good ol' Rat L Traps #7- couple of neat Storm Thin Fins. Throws worse than the Top Dollar. Nice baits. Great shad imitators. #8- Spark L Tail #9- Rapala Fat Rap should have a size on the lip, looks like FR7. Not a big color, but a good old bait. #10- another Spot #11- yeah, baby!
dtrs5kprs Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 #8- should be Sparkle Tail. Got on a roll with the L.

Spark L Tail sounds like the name I would have came up with just taking a guess! Thanks for all the help! A lions share are Bombers, I'd say I've got about 30~.
