MOPanfisher Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I am gonna declare it a good morning. In honor of Dr. Martic Luther King all black crappie were released. (They were too small) had a couple more that likely would have measured if I hadn't forgotten my "death checker", but a warm spring like day in January and a mess of crappie, no complaints. cheesemaster, WeekendWarrior, Royal Blue and 6 others 9
Ranger520vx Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Way to go, gotta love this weather! I hope to get out later this week and see if I can find some fish myself.
MOPanfisher Posted January 16, 2017 Author Posted January 16, 2017 I dessert warm and in rain gear, ditched the rain gear at the truck, and would have had to shed some layers if I had stayed longer. 60 degrees in January, crappie smacking your jig, Eagles flying around calling to each other, life is good. shockley32 Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Great job! I'm looking forward to getting back after them. What's the projections on the water level? Drove over Pomme river on Hwy 32 yesterday, bank full and rolling. Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
MOPanfisher Posted January 17, 2017 Author Posted January 17, 2017 Haven't seen any predictions yet, but Pomme River was muddy this morning when I crossed it but wasn't all that big by any means. I would expect the lake to come up some, might even lead to a slight increase in outflow.
Ranger520vx Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 I enjoy watching the eagles while out fishin, and there seems to be a lot of them around this year. There were 5 in one group circling around the last time I was out really cool.
