Brian Sloss Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 I took a long awaited trip to Bariloche, Argentina in the Patagonia region and absolutely loved it. We spent a week fishing from Dec 28 to Jan 4. We were there during a time that the biggest fish were in the lakes rather than in the rivers, but we still caught plenty of fish. Getting there is a long process, but once there it is very affordable if you are more of a do it your-selfer. We hired guides for a day on the Limay and Manso rivers and then fished on our own on a number of wadeable rivers. The guides are first rate, by the way. www.troutbariloche.com By the way, the food there is second to none. If you have ever wanted to go, I would be happy advise you how to do it much cheaper than you might have imagined. I posted a couple of pictures here, but a lot more can be found on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/brian.sloss.5 BilletHead, awhuber, laker67 and 3 others 6 www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
netboy Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Looks like a great trip and quite an adventure. Did you get to do any dove or duck hunting?
JestersHK Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Man that looks and sounds awesome. I just got caught up on the History Channels 'Alone' series which is in Patagonia this year. Looks like a place I could get lost in for a few months! Any chance you could post some more fish pics for us non facebookers? Thanks for sharing!

Quillback Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Looks like a great trip. Terrain reminds me of central Washington.
JestersHK Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Wow. Beautiful wilderness there. The water looks pristine too. Someday I will make it there...
