Gavin Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Bring a big golf umbrella. Paddle into the wind, sail back.
Ranger520vx Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Good luck with your knee and your fishing when you get there. Looking forward to your report to see how you do.

MOPanfisher Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 there is another access up on the Lindley, its sort of a gravel/mud access, but you are a ways up the lindley, I am not sure about crappie but often times white bass are thick up there. We call it Sleepy Hollow access, it would be in Polk County and CR 333 from looking at Google map. Also on the Pomme river side, PP hwy access has seen a lot of kayaks put in there and go up and or down, fishing for crappie and whites, but the wind can really whistle down that channel at times.
shockley32 Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 On the Pomme arm you can launch in the back of Cooper cove, a ton of trees to fish in the summer. On the Lindley you can launch in Haverstick and have excellent fishing - you can fish here every day for a year and not exhaust it. There are numerous gravel launch sites all up and down the lake, take a look at google earth (maps) to pinpoint them, most coves, if any size at all, have somewhere to put in. Good luck and give us some reports! Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
wareaglecamo Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 thanks so much Brad . . . very helpful info . . . definitely will report back
Members hurr88icane Posted March 9, 2017 Members Posted March 9, 2017 I agree with MOPanfisher. I was at the Hwy PP access about a month ago, two Saturdays in a row. The first time my buddy and I caught 50 white bass between the two of us. The second time we went out there was five of us, and between all 5 we probably caught a similar amount. It sure did get windy though. We put in at Hwy PP and paddled south (upriver) for about a mile and found a good hole with lots of whites.
jim m Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 ditto on lightfoot, lots of fish and a no wake cove which is a big plus for a kyack

Pp is a great spot this time of year and if you can get all the way to cave hole fish a white or green pumpkin jig right on the bottom and you can have some fun with smallmouth. Plus you can catch whites all the way up and back.
