Very cool, so now makes a eye in every month of the year?

Yes, but for the record I need a picture for April. Then I hope to put a slide show for all the months. What an awesome year ! I have learned a lot. This is my second attempt.

I sure hope we will all get to meet sometime.

Way to go Dan! If I may ask, were you casting crank baits?

WM

Nope, jerk bait , the whites hit the same one.

I'm curious to what kind of jerk bait you were throwing? My favorite is the shallow shadow rap, they were killing it last year all the way into July at night. It's crazy how close to the banks they get this time of year, I've even seen a few with their backs out of the water! I don't bother getting the boat out either this time of year, I find it's much easier just to fish from the bank. I found you just have to learn how to fish the shallow snags and not be afraid to set the hook, as they usually bite pretty light and you don't know they are there until you give that little jerk. They haven't moved up yet up North here yet, but should be within the next week or so. I cannot wait, it's my favorite time of year!

Dan a slide show would be awesome.  I love it when walleye get shallow and aggressive after dark.  They hit like they are out to kill it.  Only got them to come in close like that once so far this year.  Even I can catch them when they do that.  AND I wimped out again tonight, got off work and it was misting, cold and I just wasn't feeling it, although I have done better in sucky weather.  Guess I can't catch em unless I get some steel in the water.

We need to meet up on Mozingo this spring. I'm about an hour and a half from there and will leave work whatever time I need to. Shoot me a PM and we'll get something set up. Slamming a few walleye casting from the bank some evening sounds like a good time!
