Members 6lbstest Posted April 1, 2017 Members Posted April 1, 2017 I always describe it as the last bridge before you reach the main lake.
bwcballer10 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Yeah the older bridge that is like 3 eddies below Taylor (it is also the last bridge before you reach Aldrich.) We didn't travel very far in either direction from the bridge to catch our 4 limits.
bologna Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Fished Orleans around lunch was pretty slow only caught a couple. Then went to Taylor water very low no action there. Going back with fly rod tomorrow is no storms and going to walk downstream at Taylor.
Members Fishn' Addict Posted April 2, 2017 Members Posted April 2, 2017 Must have been doing something wrong, went to Orleans this evening for about 3 hours and only caught one.
Members 6lbstest Posted April 2, 2017 Members Posted April 2, 2017 Went from 4 to 8 this evening, was on a canoe below Orleans. Caught 10, my buddy caught 4, it wasn't gang busters but had fun. All mine came on a rooster tail. Also they were all males. Tried to upload picture, but having issues. trythisonemv 1
trythisonemv Posted April 2, 2017 Author Posted April 2, 2017 With the steady rain this week they will run. The temps and day length are getting near perfect. Sewing dogwoods pop and already seeing spring birds. I'm going again Friday morning with the canoe this time. 6lbstest 1
Members 6lbstest Posted April 2, 2017 Members Posted April 2, 2017 So here's the picture, all the males were good sized, I agree that the females ought to be coming soon. BilletHead, trythisonemv and Johnsfolly 3
Members zachjones Posted April 6, 2017 Members Posted April 6, 2017 Anyone been catching any whites off the bank? I would guess the cold might of slowed them down a bit. trythisonemv 1
trythisonemv Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 Heading down tomorrow ill let you know how it goes. Taking fly rod to Taylor bright and early probably wade up and down see if they are shoaling yet
trythisonemv Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 So males are milting but females haven't shown up yet. Caught fish steadily all morning. Even got a surprise walleye ! Flysmallie, Johnsfolly, BilletHead and 1 other 4
