Sore Thumbs Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 That's an awesome boat! Just curious what top speed is with jet drive on a 250?
fishinwrench Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Who rigged that beast ? Is he able to get insurance on it ? Correct me if I'm wrong (my math should never be trusted) but I think it's over powered by 60hp.
fishinwrench Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 That's an awesome boat! Just curious what top speed is with jet drive on a 250? 55-60 typically. But on THAT boat 68-70 might be possible.

I could take my 1860 Legend SS to Cowtown tomorrow and they would slap on a 225HO Etec for me if I wanted to pay for it. Troutt's will throw a Mercury 300xs stroker if you wanted. Joe Troutt, the owner, runs a 300 on his Alweld 1856 jc jet. 55-60 typically. But on THAT boat 68-70 might be possible. It's a mid 50's rig. That's about as much as you are going to get out of a fully decked out fishing rig. There are guys running empty tin cans with 250-300's that will break 60mph, but they aren't good for anything other than joy riding and racing.
Ketchup Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Nice looking rigs. King of the rivers right there. Good luck on the sale for your buddy Seth. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
fishinwrench Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Pretty cool if that's what you're into. Is there a reason why they are all on tandem axle trailers ?
