Wtb 115- 150 HP outboard

Friend of mine is looking for a good outboard for 1987 18 1/2 ft. Champion. He needs motor and controls.

I have this one.

Has a 150 decal on the cowling but it is a 235 (see model# plate). Was rebuilt 3-4 years ago by one of the Marina's at Truman supposedly.  Has good compression and runs great.  Comes with a 4-blade 26p Renegade prop.

I just recently took it in on trade. The boat it is on is only rated for a 150 so this bad boy has to go to a proper home. 
2500.00 for engine and controls. or 2000.00 for engine only.

Here is yet another one....

This one needs some serious refreshing but the powerhead and lower unit are good.  I gave the customer an estimate and he almost went into cardiac arrest.  Pretty sure he'd sell it very reasonably but it does need about 2k in ignition and fuel system work.

But boy I'd really have to stick it in your a$$ on this one because if it goes then I don't get to go fishing for awhile.  But hey.... Everything I own is for sale ??

Also have a 1989-90 Evinrude 175 XP coming soon, but I haven't had a chance to check it out fully yet.

Thx wrench I bet that Champion isn't rated for a 235. Do you have any idea what you are going to want for the XR2. Also how much for the 175 XP and do you have the controls for it also.

The 18'10" Champion will take the 235.  It actually doesn't weigh any more than a 150, just has quite a bit more torque. 

It is actually a 2.6 liter XP  (The high performance version of the 235).  No hole shot worries with this beast.

Thanks wrench I will pass this info on to him. I'm not sure how much he is looking to spend he just ask me to keep an eye open for one and I knew you had motors at times. Once again thanks.
