I think the rain negatively affected our area of the lake this morning. Not sure how/where those big fish were being caught. Tomorrow should be better with the sun all day
Mitch f Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I caught a couple of 3's yesterday but never weighed them in. Lost a big one at the end of the day under a dock yesterday "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
shrapnel Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 Our best wasn't good enough, 3.52 sat and 3.45 today. Caught lots of nice fish and probably should have weighed one for the 3lbs even. Got to fish with both my sons so I'm glad they allow the 3 man teams. Mitch f 1
WeekendWarrior Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Had a great time at the BBB with good friends as always. Saturday we started on an open bank around the 28 mm paralleling bank with spook and spinnerbait and had 2 nice keepers in first 5 minutes on spook and a limit in a hour with no big bites and ended the day with 10 keepers. Sunday started on a different bank doing the same as Saturday and they were not having it. We struggled a bit and grinded it out. Saw MOsmallies on his dock when we were fishing and shortly after hooked a 4.19 lber on a creature bait for a 33rd place check. Good time, good friends, can't wait to do it again in the fall. Mitch f, MOsmallies, fishinwrench and 1 other 4
bjovan Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Nice Steve! You are the 8th person I know who cashed a check, one of my buddies cashed both days. Anyone know how many entries they had?

It was great to finally meet you. Glad you put a good one in the boat and made a little money! Mitch f and Seth 2
Members Walleye13 Posted April 25, 2017 Members Posted April 25, 2017 We had a 3.9 and 4.1 on Sunday, both post spawn. Missed the money by .04 in last period. Not good at bed fishing and really don't agree with it, but saw lots of empty beds (or beds with guarding males). Lots of guys fishin in Blue Anchor Bay.....wow! Slid my boat off the lift at 5:45 a.m. Sunday and there was a boat already parked right behind my slip with no lights on (hope it wasn't someone on this board!). Hey MoSmallies, good thing you were not on that point across from BAB over the weekend. You would have been in the crossfire of 100 boats running in and out of those spawning coves to the west! Informally met you last summer when you caught that giant blue pulling cranks. We were doin same for crappies when we ran through that wolf pack of blues.

Could have been me on that point W13, catch more of them dang blues than you can shake a stick at - here is my bro with another slot blue(16#) from Easter weekend. Stayed away from the BBB.... WeekendWarrior Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Just saw the breakdown on BassingBob of fished checked in at each location and it was pretty equally distributed among the weigh-in sites with Pt. Randall with the least cashed checks and all other locations pretty much equal.
Members Walleye13 Posted April 25, 2017 Members Posted April 25, 2017 I think that was you Mike (sorry for the confusion MoSmallies). You run a deep V Alumacraft or Crestliner walleye boat? I was in a white fiberglass Lund, 175 Opti and 10hp Merc kicker. Nice blue!!
