The folks at USDA released their drought monitor map today.  It says most of NW Arkansas in in moderate to abnormally dry drought.  Those folks just keep releasing much the same maps time after time, totally asleep at the wheel.  According to them we need about seven more inches to break the drought.

That's what I saw too. Not the best scenario, I wouldn't be surprised if the FLW boats can't get under the 12 bridge on Sunday.

Wow, 3.5" in the rain gauge so far just from the storms last night in the PC area. And they're saying the storms later in the day promise to be the big rain producers. I sure hope everyone stays safe, on the water and off.

Looking at the radar right now, looks like most of it is passing to the north and east.  Maybe more storms will form to the south and move up here later, but we may catch a little break.

Only 1/4 inch of rain overnight here in the White River headwaters.  Heavy rains in the northern half of the lake won't affect the levels drastically.  I think we are going to get by with less than 2 inches total in the headwaters.

I sure hope you're right.  That would be awesome!  But there's a big front just to the west of NW Ark that's training big time.  We'll see what that brings here in the next couple of hours.
