Members Ffer Posted May 15, 2017 Members Posted May 15, 2017 Going to Atikoken area in a couple of weeks. Went last year and caught many, many smallmouth. Used wacky worms to catch 95% of them. Just about the only fish we targeted. But, saw many large to very large walleye while we were fishing for the bass. Any suggestions as to what lure, bait etc, we should have at the ready to throw to them.? We don't keep fish up there. (you're allowed very few fish of any kind to keep which is fine). Just need a little help in getting a few pics of nice walleye. Thanks. Flyguide7 1
rps Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Road runners baited with minnows and fished on points and humps and vertical jigging spoons such as a Binks 1/2 ounce. Maybe a jerk bait off wave washed rocks. Good luck! Flyguide7 and Deadstream 2
Walleyedmike Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Rapala Shad Rap Hot Steel in color, Berkley Flicker Shad in Blue Tiger. Also might throw size 3 Mepps spinners in gold or silver. Have fun! WM Deadstream and Flyguide7 2
