Mitch f Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Since these jigs are usually tied without a weedguard, it's easy to lose them. I know this sounds contrarian, but using a cheaper hook helps with the mortality rate of those small jigs. If you get hung up, you can just pull and straighten them out and re-bend. The better hooks won't do that. Seth 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Travis Swift Posted June 9, 2017 Author Posted June 9, 2017 I'm trying the new eagle claw lil' nasty black nickel hooks out. they are cheap and sharp as all get out. so far the folks that I have gotten them in the hands up have loved them down there and reported back with great results. They run about 4 cents each and are really sharp and the black nickel keeps them from rusting.
