Ealy Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 I'm looking to have the boat carpet replaced in my Basscat. Any recommendations on where to take it? I live in Nixa but would drive a little ways out.

I live in Nixa but would drive a little ways out. you might want to just check with basscat. especially if you want the same grade of carpet put back in. they can usually do that for you, but might be a bit to get it in. and, they can not, they probably know a few places that do carpet replacement. bo
Bass Enforcer Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Ealy. Honestly if you consider yourself handy, I would do it yourself. Its seriously not that bad. I did it one time in my boat and it turned out great. Probably for about $500.00 to $600.00 you could do it. Im betting to have someone do it your spending close to a couple grand. Not sure though I've never had it done before. magicwormman 1
Dutch Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Run down 160 to Championship Marine at Spokane.. Tom did my Champ a couple of years ago. It was as good as factory. He will even add a padded front deck if you want. Hunter91 and Champ188 2
Smalls21 Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 check out BJ's boat rebuilders in Nixa, he does all my carpet work
Bill Babler Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Lots of people do carpet. It's a huge mess to get it out and then get it back in tight. Nothing makes an older boat look better than new carpet and a new rub rail. I would have it done local. McCallister Marine can also do it, or have it done. They did my 2012 Phoenix and it was showroom quality, boat had 300 hrs of guide time on the original carpet. You also have to make sure you follow the carpet grain. Not easy unless you do it 5 days a week http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Members Bigfishes1 Posted June 29, 2017 Members Posted June 29, 2017 BJ boat re builders did mine, it's terrible. ZERO attention to detail. Just a half way shop looking for an easy dollar.
Ealy Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 Thanks for your replies. I'll keep checking. I'm handy enough to do a hack job myself, but I'd like to pay the right person to do it right. I called a local boat dealer referred to me by Basscat. He quoted me $2,000 if I supplied the carpet.
