Yep that what's drove me out.  They put that pipe in and out came the lawn chairs and bait.  How does someone litter?  I just don't get that.

They litter because they're  Turdballs.

I see it in the woods too. Some people are just not caring people. They don't have enough integrity or morals to do what's right.  Unfortunately it's gonna get worse until someone punishes their behavior.

Good to hear some reports!  Have been trying to get away all Summer but family illnesses have brought that thought to screeching halt!!

Maybe try October?  Will see.

For all of those who gripe about the size of fish being caught at BSSP need to get off the couch and make a trip down and see what size is really being caught. 8 out of 10 are running about 2 lbs or better .

I don't think 8 out of 10 is accurate but maybe 3 out of 10 is pretty close.  Plus I caught 4-5 fish closer 3 lbs this weekend. 1 rainbow I'm pretty certain was a solid 4+.

Regardless, I'm sure you'll catch a few small fish here and there.  But the overall size is really better this year compared to the past few years.

Was there this weekend again and solely fished dries, action was pretty decent in Zone 1 with regular hookups on a beetle and caddis emerger as well as on light colored cracklebacks fished on top. I did not skip them at all but I saw a few guys getting them pretty good skipping them on the sinking line. I never seem to catch as many large fish on topwater but the size was pretty good. Saved a few for dinner about the 2 lb size but the average fish is much larger than previous years.

The weather was fantastic and the crowds were much smaller than the previous weekends thanks to school being out. There was a decent crowd Saturday night but Saturday and Sunday mornings were nice to be able work the stream. The water is low and clear so make sure to scale your tippet down.

What size tippet are you talking Bnorm??

i use 6X flourocarbon year round. Never had an issue. I'll use 5x or maybe even 4X during high murky water and with bigger bugs.

Most of the time i will try to get away with 5X mono. I think 6X flouro is needed now so you will always be good there. I will go up to 4X or even 3X skipping woolies or streamers though on the sinking tip.

I tie a bunch of tandem rigs up for my father who can chew through tippet (and flies for that matter) at an unbelievable rate so I am too cheap when it comes to tippet. I really hate spending the money on the Flouro but more and more I am beginning to think it is worth the investment.

Go on eBay and buy Frog hair flourocarbon tippet in 100 meter spools.  You'll save a ton of cash.  Those small spools for 18 bucks will make you go broke quick if you fish a lot.

That is a great price, just ordered some and I get to support Trout Unlimited with my purchase at the same time. Great Suggestion.

Many Thanks.
