dave potts Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Anybody ever heard of this brand aluminum jon boat? I can't find anything on the web about them but recently came across a used 12 foot one for sale. It was a red boat on a decent trailer and looked to be in good shape. Kind of leery as I have never heard of the brand. I noticed the drain plug screwed into the bottom of the boat rather than the transom which seemed kind of odd. Thanks
fishinwrench Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Interesting. Serenity is a yacht builder. Got a pic of it ? Might be a dinghy. Ozarks Chillbilly 1
Ozarks Chillbilly Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 The drain plug feature is semi-common among drifting type watercraft. Stealthcraft for example on some of their models have a drain plug screwed on the floor located around the middle of the boat on each side. Not too sure on the L&L Jon boats though. Never heard of them either. Live count (10/19/17) : Streamers lost to Taneycomo's Giant Squid = 12
dave potts Posted September 21, 2017 Author Posted September 21, 2017 Well I called about the boat and found that it belonged to the woman's deceased husband. I asked if it was a Serenity boat and she said no, that her husband had the boat painted red and had a professional apply the Serenity decal as he was a recovering alcoholic. Go figure. Said she wanted $1200 for it. She thought the "professional" paint job and decal added to the value. Told her I'm still drinking so would pass on it. Well, I didn't really tell her that but felt like it. Ozarks Chillbilly, Gavin, snagged in outlet 3 and 2 others 2 3
