New from Mississippi

Theres nothing like catching them spotted bass they now they have a heck of a fight in them. I hadn't been on pearl in years. 

The hogs are every where down here now.

We also  have some good flat head fishing also 

All the jet boats I'm been looking at so far have gigging rails. I've have never done any gigging for carp.I always thought that was for bait

If the rails went on, they can come off.

gigging is not popular in smallmouth circles...ozark tradition on suckers, good eating in the winter....jet boats get you all over the rivers to some killer smallmouth spots....but fishing is so outstanding in the lakes, the rivers kinda go to wanting in some areas....within 2 hours drive you can fish for just about anything...a kayak and wade fishing is popular here..no gators and poisonous snake are uncommon compared to MS.....red wasps are less an issue here thank goodness and no fire ants!.....walleye fishing can be awesome here...

I plan on heading up that way soon to pick up a flat boat. Now you got me wanting to bring my Ranger

just learn what a smallmouth looks like you'll be good then
