SplitG2
I don't know the specific model but a 7' mh Falcon sounds like a good TR jig rod.
Royal Blue
For another $30 or so, you could get a BuCoo SR. I realize it's more, but I have a couple of them and couldn't be happier with them.
abkeenan
I've heard from others on BBC that the Falcon HD rod leaves a lot to be desired. Especially if you are using it as a bottom contact rod where sensitivity is obviously important. Royal Blue's suggestion is probably the right play. I've always been a fan of the BuCoo line from Falcon. I also have a newer SR model and like it as well.
Longball22
If you're buying the BuCoo, I'd be careful to get one with standard guides, and not the micro guides. Seems like they had some issues here: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Falcon_Bucoo_Micro_Guide_Casting_Rods/descpage-FBMC.html#customer_reviews
176champion
Im not set on any one brand of rod..i just happened to see the Falcon HD rod which was in my price range and was asking opinions of it....I have looked at rods with the micro eyes on them and im just not sold on them. I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
Longball22
I was at Sportsman's Factory Outlet in Springfield last week, and they have some Lew's Inshore Custom Speed Sticks marked down to $70(originally $130). I got one that is Medium/Fast action, and love it for throwing lighter stuff (it's rated for 1/4-3/4oz. I believe). However, I agree with the others that if you had to have one rod, it would be a MH to be able to throw heavier baits better(they didn't have MH rods of that type, or I'd have owned a few ). Members rngr188
I've got the Bucoo in the 7' MH and it's a great rod. Of all my Caras the Bucoo is right there with it at half the cost. Look into Hammer rods 100% USA made, I just bought my first after reading all the rave reviews on BBC so decided to give one a shot. Although I haven't made but a few casts with it I think it's going to be a very nice rod and I really like the Winn (golf club) style grips vs EVA foam. If you are a member of BBC the Tackle Trap offers a 10% discount code for members. If interested in trying one of these you can call the Tackle Trap and tell them what you want out of a rod and what you will be using it for and they will guide you to the rod that you need based off of what you tell them. Great folks to deal with and supper fast shipping, I think mine came in two days later.

It's more of a MH than a H and is perfect for so many applications for Table Rock type baits. Wobble heads, t-rigs, jigs and so much more. Very versatile rod and if you are in the market for a rod in the $175ish price range I'd give it a look. Love mine.
